You are currently in the Conrad Formal Gardens, the first study location on our list. The gardens provide a beautiful outdoor space to complete assignments while listening to the sounds of nature.






The rocks in the art quad are often a popular place to study, relax, or hang out with friends on a warm day. Bring your computer or a book, grab a coffee and snag a spot of one of the 12 art quad rocks!


Miami’s newest building is the McVey Data Science Building. There are comfortable tables, couches, and chairs to study in everywhere you look!






Café Lux is Miami’s coffee shop located in the Armstrong Student Center. The cafe is typically open from morning to early afternoon, but tables can be used for study sessions at all times of the day!


Pearson Hall is a science building, but it also has many places to study. This common area on the first floor is the perfect place to grind out your assignments!


The Armstrong Student Center has a cozy living room in the front of the building. This is a great spot to meet up for a group project or relax on the couches!


The living room area of the Farmer School of business is a study zone hotspot for business majors! Study alone, with friends, or meet up for a group project.


Lesser known about than Farmer’s living room is Farmer’s back patio. Head all the way to the back of the building and you’ll find this shady, quiet, outdoor study space. And, there are two outdoor power outlets!


The top of the stairs above the admissions center at Scriver provide a study spot perfect for a hot day. The spot is covered and shaded, and has a great view of art quad!


There are 3 Starbucks on Campus, and 2 of them have seating inside! Visit the Starbucks at Shriver or Withrow if you prefer to study in a busy, public setting!


The Marcum Hotel and Conference Center has a tiny, shaded gazebo near the back parking lot. Inside the gazebo are 4 benches, each with a power outlet underneath!


If you walk down the trail behind the Marcum Hotel and Conference Center, you’ll get to the Four Mile Creek. Bring a towel or a hammock, find a peaceful spot to study, and listen to the sounds of nature!
