Haiku Hike: A Trail Guide Through Houston Woods

On the trail, there is a 0.5-mile path with views of Acton Lake. Three benches are situated along the trail so poets can reflect upon the featured poems and find inspiration from nature. Haiku North America, in conjunction with Ohio State Parks, sponsored the creation of the haiku trail at Hueston Woods State Park. This trail serves in memory of the 2023 Haiku North America conference. Out of four hundred poems submitted, twenty selected poems were installed in June of 2023 on what was then the park’s Sycamore Trail.
