There lived two robots, Kai and Selene. Kai is able to harness the element of wind: like the wind, he is both playful and reckless. His childhood friend, Selene, is able to harness the element of fire. Like fire, Selene was warm and gentle so long as you stayed on her good side. Although their ability to harness the elements is limited, when combined they can do amazing things. Their love for magic led them on wild adventures and with it came new friends through an Adventurer’s Guild.
The rising sun was peeking through the clouds warming the silver of Kai and Selene’s faces as they ventured through the desert. Blinded by a ray of light, Selene tripped over sand. Kai rushed to his aid, only to find that Selene had tripped over an old book.
Selene watched as Kai flipped through the pages, both realizing they had stumbled upon something truly special.
The book began to hover, higher and higher. In an attempt to bring the book back down, Kai used his elemental wind. In doing so, he burst open the book, sending pages flying through the air. Suddenly, the pages of the book began to glow as an unworldly aura filled the space around them.
A blinding light flashed. By the time they had opened their eyes, the world they knew was gone. All that remained was the book by their feet. As Selene lifted his hand to create a small flame, the two continued forward. They found that the world around them was unlike anything they’d ever known. There were floating castles, rushing rivers, and green moss-covering surfaces. The world light source came from the surrounding large glowing plants.
From behind the plants, hopped tiny robotic rabbits. They slowly approached the two foreign robots, fascinated by their presence and abilities. Some gathered toward Selene, engrossed by his flame and the warmth it brought. Others stared at Kai, distinguishing if he was a friend or a foe. To ease the tension, Kai sent a welcoming breeze past the iron rabbits, causing the plants to sway and make a swift tune.
As time passed, Kai noticed dark clouds begin to gather on the horizon, slowly creeping closer and closer. He felt the air grow thick and heavy as if something powerful was stirring in the atmosphere. The wind picked up, sending leaves and twigs swirling through the air. A distant rumble echoed across the sky, growing louder and more ominous with each passing moment. Black fog came seeping across the ground as a dark force revealed itself before their eyes. The rabbits started to scatter as the evil sorcerer raised its wooden polearm and struck the ground.
A magnetic force went rushing through the moss as the rabbits froze in place. Unaffected, the two robots watched in horror as the sorcerer trapped the gentle creatures. When the sorcerer saw the two copper robots unaffected, he began to dash at them, but the two robots were ready.
Kai and Selene charged a surge of power through their circuits. Kai conjured up fierce winds as Selene created a ball of combustion. The wind currents amplified the strike of combustion and burnt the wooden polearm to ashes.
One by one the rabbits began to regain their mobility as the magnetic force was released. A glowing light began to emerge from the core of the evil sorcerer. His fragile face was barely visible under the moonlight. His breaths were weak and his life was near its end. The sorcerer morphed into a star as his core continued to grow brighter.
The rabbits gathered around the two heroes thanking them for being freed by destroying the sorcerer who had been terrorizing their home. With the sorcerer gone, the rabbits could now live without fear of being taken, never to be seen again. The rabbits presented the two robots with a carrot amulet and hopped home.
Kai and Selene bid farewell to the rabbits and the magical world. Kai took out the book and began to open its pages. Suddenly, the pages started to glow as an unworldly aura filled the space around them. A blinding light flashed as they were transported back to their home.
The two robots had reported their findings to the Adventure Guild. The book is now stored in the classified library of sorcery. And who knows, maybe one day they will return to the magical world to explore new wonders and fight new battles.
